Provisional Games

I went 8-2 in Provisional games and got put in Bronze IV. I looked at other players in my league at Bronze 1 and they have only 2 wins. How is this calculated because it did not reward me for winning, but it rewarded another player for losing?

two things one: bronze 4 is a reward for the person who only won twice? two: they most likely had higher mmr than you last season. if their mmr was lets say low silver or high bronze and your was about bronze 4.
