I shouldn't be forced to play a lane i don't want to play

I only play ADC, i only want to play ADC when i Queue up in ranked i Pick bot as my main role and mid as my 2nd, i do this because i think mid is a very popular role and im forced to pick a backup role so i pick that in hopes i dont actually play it. my search times are anywhere from 3-15 mins (gold 3 currently) and i dont sit there in long queues to get a role i don't want, does anyone else have this problem i feel like this would be pretty annoying for anyone playing ranked.

id just type adc in the chat and like 95% of the time id get it

From what I experienced and been told from other people with longer history in the game, that was extremely unreliable and no where near 95%. It was basically Fill every game.

if you typed in the chat before anyone else typed you would get what you wanted a lot, other times people would just do pick order but currently im getting mid about 40% of the time and thats pretty fucked up

Ah, you must have had a better experience than I did. I don't know. I like the new system. It encourages me to try new roles. I'm a support main though. I always get my main role.
