Placement Question

Had my 1st placement game on this account and this was my match making results. I understand the MMR on both teams is similar. But...is this really what placements is like for new unranks? In the pic below you can see 4 Silver 2s and 1 S3 (3 of which were gold last season) VS 4 unranked and 1 current S4. I think its important to note I am not complaining just wanting an explanation.

Here are the result to the game. The KDAs and CS show the difference in skill lvl quite clearly. (Yes my CS and stacks sucked, I was doing a lot of lane swaping trying to protect turrets)

Mid silver is where unranked players start off. It's not a surprise that's where you and the other unranked players got put together especially for your first match. Now if you play your next game you will be against s4s probably

Oh okay, but they don't put those Mid Silvers on my team as well?

They do, considering those unranked players are technically at that elo. But i get what you are saying that you want seasoned veterans but this time was unlucky draw. Also most of high silver is still S5 gold players.
