Why I think they wont revert Akali

I think that riot won’t revert akali because of two things

  1. They’ve been trying way to hard to nerf her and after so many people’s requests to revert her they still haven’t

  2. I don’t think they can ok this is in my opinion and you can tell me I’m wrong. I looked at the model for the old akali I wasn’t feeling it to much. But I think maybe the model was just to outdated and honestly didn’t go with the feel of akali character so that’s why they drastically change her look.

Also I know the second point is more my opinion but I truely think that the old akali didn’t fit her character now I will be honest I never played the old akali and I have no idea what her old kit was so you can kill me for not having any idea if what the old gameplay was like.

But if it is really I revert I hope they just revert the kit i’ll get used to playing her that way although I do want her kunai to be there and not her two Kama’s but that might be asking a lot.

Her old kit was considered one of the most toxic kits of the last 5+ years along with Katarina, neither saw high level play much which as I understand it is because they were too easy to lock down like a master Yi. Both were point and click spam RQERRR anything in range to instakill. Their new kits seem true in spirit to their old play style just brought to life more with dynamic moves and much better animation. What made them toxic before was fixed for both of them in their remakes but gave them new problems.

Visually Akali looks great to watch, how her moves combo and change animations, she's one of the most animated characters in LoL right now and actually looks like a believable ninja through animations of her new moves. It would be a shame to lose all these amazing visuals. Not that riot will do it but I'm sure it would be relatively straight forward to fix her without losing all the great work on her.

As an amateur lol player that can't speak on high level play: I think the reworks look and feel were both great, they cured more severe "toxic" issues that they had prior to the rework and it's just a shame that they can't be in a nice spot since a little more development attention and vision most likely could have had them all around solid.

They aren't true in spirit.

I honestly think they need to keep certain aspects of New akali and revert some of the stuff. For someone who likes old akali's kit, I know her Shroud now is better but a bit OP considering Pink wards do nothing to reveal her. (All other champions get revealed in turn tho) Her Ultimate used to be hella strong for gap closing or making a neat get away. Maybe keep it how it is now, but on a shorter cooldown and not an execute. Her E (I think her E) used to be her main wave clear. Similar to kat picking up a Dagger, but a tad more reliable dmg. Her Q I like now since it actually allows you to feel more ninja like and be able to outplay people.

Aside from that her visuals needed the update.

The reason it didnt 'fit her character' is because before the remake she was a completely different champion, personality, voice, lore all different as balance dictates used to be her core identity. The two kamas were important i think visually displaying that, the same why the style of her old e was the way it was. she reminded me of the ying yang symbol. made sense for her to be clean collected looking rather than look like a hoodrat gypsie looking yuppie with a knapsack who ran away after fighting her friends and trashing her mom (she also seems to have grown younger)

Used to be about integrity and honor and now is polar opposite, like everything else about the remake which just begs question why they didnt just make a new champion out of it
