Is gangplank worth learning?

I have thought about it for a while now playing a roster of toplaner's including Aatrox Garen Renekton Darius But I feel that gangplank would be extremely beneficial to learn. Any thoughts?

Gp has global presence, but takes a bit to get used to farming with his Q and barrels. You pretty much want to set up a wave so that you can Q a barrel to kill all the minions at once, and then you will also need to figure out how to keep up with the mana consumption.

Your roster is quite bad

Darius and Garen overlap (choose Darius) but I would suggest better "juggernauts" like Swain/Vladimir.. yes this are pretty much ranged juggernauts AAtrox Just got reworked so you cant possibly already main him Renekton is fine due to recent item 3508 changes

GP is good choise avoid crit builds

If you are gold and below then don't go for GP. GP requires good understanding how to position yourself.

Not right now he isn’t. There’s so much true damage in the game your barrel armor reduction means almost nothing, and he is squishie and immobile in a meta that revolves around hyper mobile burst champs.

Gp is super good in tank metas and slower metas.

Also he is a scaling champion, and they just don’t hold up at the moment with scaling being so bad.

Why play gp when you could grab pantheon and do the same thing he does earlier.

But as always, play what you think is fun.

yeah hes been a viable or top tier pick since his rework 3 years ago, the fact that he has no losing matchups in pro play should say something
