Summoner spell Cleanse doesn't work with suppress

The summoner spell cleanse says, "Removes all disables and summoner spell debuffs affecting your champion and lowers the duration of incoming disables by 65% for 3 seconds." So the Question for you guys is how come the malzahar suppress count as a disable. I mean you should be able to remove that suppress because it practically disables the champion from moving. I am just dissappointed that i lost a ranked game because of it. I am just questioning the wording of cleanse thats all; if you can quicksilver sash the malzahar suppress then you should be able to cleanse it. Cleanse is a summoner spell which in itself should be given higher regards then an item. Just a question is all it is and i would appreciate if i could get an answer as soon as possible so i dont make the same mistake again. You guys are awesome; Keep up the great work. Suppression disables the activation of summoner spells, so cleanse can't work during it. Quicksilver Sash removes all potential debuffs, not just disables, and it can still be activated while disabled.

Most champions with suppression are too reliant on their suppressions to have them countered so easily by cleanse, particularly since they disable themselves to use their suppression. Having it on QSS isn't so bad because it is a gold-inefficent purchase that people don't have access to at all stages of the game. Allowing cleanse to affect suppression similarly to how QSS does would be too big of a hit to those mechanics.

If you could remove Malzahar's ult with cleanse you mind as well just delete him at that point

not really.... its would be the only way to counter him in lane since he can just push and push all day and if u over extend he ults you and jungler has free will to walk up to you and you die with no counter play.... Cleanse also doesn't work on Warwick ult this happened in the game I was just in lol malz would ult me and ww would walk up once his ult ended and then chain stun me for life and yes I had cleanse thinking it would remove those ults -.- but it was just instant death every time his ult was up

It used to specifically say what types of CC it blocked (including, oddly, "sleep"), but they simplified the tooltip and never actually put in that it can't break suppression.
