Why Rework Swain

There was legit nothing wrong with the old swain, why rework him?! I have been playing this game Less and Less ever since Riot reworked Swain. He was my top 4 favorite mid laners. What does it take for Riot to reverse a reworked champion?! I think if they rework Karthus then i am done with this game.. I wish Riot would do a poll or something for champions that they feel need to be reworked and ask the public 1st.... Been playing this game since 2011 and I feel that people who play certain champs and spent money on the skins for those champs.. They should ask how people would feel about it, now i don't want to even touch the reworked Swain.. Come on reverse the him!!

There were a LOT of problems with the old Swain.

He was a point and click, anti melee, drain tank. If he got ahead, he dealt far too much damage while having far too much survivability. If he fell behind he did absolutely nothing all game because he didn't even scale too well. Don't even get me started on Grievous wounds.

He had very little counterplay in his kit (especially if you didn't have mobility) and his general laning play pattern of E Q wait E Q wait E Q wait E Q W R dead was not a good design in the current game.

I liked old Swain a lot, but there were a ton of problems that needed to get addressed. He was basically the AP version of pantheon who is another prime example of a toxic and out dated kit.

Is new Swain any better in my opinion? Yes and no. He has more counterplay for sure and feels less feast or famine, but I think they really dropped the ball when they tried to change him. His new kit just doesn't feel good to play.

There were several things wrong with old Swain, and the initial mage rework just made them worse.

some champions i can understand for balance but champions that arnt meta or broken just right in the middle have no reason on being changed at least just because the devs feel like they want it changed when it could make the community upset :( item 3634

He had less than 1% pick rate , while I thought of him as a strong champion , maybe even stronger than now , but he didn't attract a lot of players
