Don't. ****. Shaco. Up.

It's pretty obvious that now with the clouds shrouding the (tarot cards) or (seven deadly sins) on the champion page, that theres either going to be a new hero (which is unlikely with the tarot card one, as 0. is The Fool) or Shaco is getting reworked.

Long time players of this game are already getting LIVID with all of the changes you're making, so please, Morello, Riot, don't take the PINNACLE OF JOY from old League and turn him into an overloaded piece of garbage like all these new heroes.

The /only/ skill I'd be fine with being changed is his E, and I'd still be pissed about that depending on what you did.

Edit: Self censoring my title because I didn't know these boards didnt do it.

If there's one thing you can rely on it's riot reworking a champ so their win rate tanks to 40%.

Except for when they rework a champ and it goes on to become by far the strongest in the game and permabanned (Nidalee, Lucian, Kassadin). Or when they rework a champ and it doesn't really make a splash, but quietly wins more games than it loses (Sona, Heimerdinger). Or when they rework a champ and it goes on to be a decent, niche pick (Xerath, Skarner). Or when they rework a champ and it goes on to be kinda sub-par, but not awful (Sion).

But don't let me get in the way of your polemic.

well played sir XD

Enjoy that 35% win rate and then the rework-dev disappearing, only to re-rework him into being viable for a week and a half, and then nerfing him back to a 1% pick rate.

LoL has champions, not heroes. Get it right.

Sorry, I've been playing DotA because Riot has already f**ked up half of this game.

Hoi Im Temmo2 votes

Then go play DotA. I like the changes, and you trying to tell riot what to do with their game is pretty narcissistic

Morello said they have something cool planned for Shaco's ult, and that his E is getting replaced because they hate perma-slows. 'sall I know.

Hoi Im Temmo1 votes

Dont remember where, so no link (sorry)

But a rioter was talking a number months back about funny things that happened in testing ideas before they go to PBE. Their was a shaco ult test of him becoming a projectile (the details where not given, I believe his clone occurred at the end of the projectile) - yasuo still had some odd programming at the time, and when he threw up a wind-wall against the shaco, the projectile was removed from the game - shaco did not die, he just disappeared XD

If Riot feels like a change will make their game better, they'll do it. I for one understand where they're coming from and am pretty sure I understand why certain "balanced" champions are the way they are. Yasuo, along with other melee ADC's, are actually ADC's. And where do ADC's go? What's the meta for ADC's? The meta that has been the meta since LOL Beta?

Bot lane. Let that sink in while you remember Shaco, Master Yi, Yasuo, Fiora, Nocturne, Tryndamere, and Gangplank. Seven ADC's.

The meta that has been the meta since LOL Beta?

Wrong. In the beta and season one bot lane was tank/support. ADC's went mid.

And where do ADC's go?

Where they're most likely to get enough farm to be effective late game.

Gangplank

He's a support.

TheRainInSpain

Oh, 800 elo. Yeah, I can see why you're so terrible.

No need to be rude to the guy, just correct him politely, and move on.

Holy shit my ribs. I'm getting the vibe that you've only been playing since mid Season 3 here. In the Beta of the game, there was no meta. People picked things and went places because the game was new and nothing was super clear. It was a world of possibilities. As Season 1 came into play and the game began it's trek into the competitive world, it acquired it's first semblance of a "meta." And, spoiler alert, this meta did not send an adc bot. This meta did not have the adc present in a duo lane. The adc was in fact sent, most commonly carrying Teleport/Flash, into the mid lane to duke it out. This meta did not change until late season 2/early season 3, when the Jungle role started to be more popular and picking on low mobility ADCs was too easy, the adcs started to be placed into a duo lane, which was later adapted to be a duo lane that held a support in it. They were then replaced mid with some form of AP caster and this form of the meta would not see a change until AD assassins/casters were discovered to counter several specific AP mids. As well, ADC duo lanes weren't actually "set" into the bottom lane until Korea started that shit and they were moved there because they could help pull early dragons. A thing a lot of people still haven't caught on to yet.

Actually EU started the lane matchups as we know it (ADC/supp bot. caster mid, tank/bruiser top). These are all there for good reason. What Korea cemented was the 2v1 lane swapping and the 4 minute tower push. Variations to the standard meta are all balance changes like when double AP was strong or how ranged tops are stronger than melee tops.

If Riot feels like a change will make their game better, they'll do it.

It's not their game.

It's our game.

We tell them what to do or we take our money elsewhere.

Then do it. Unless you can make a big enough impact that makes them notice, it's their game. You will literally need a million players to quit over a rework of a single champion to see Riot care.

What's the matter with Shaco?

The /only/ skill I'd be fine with being changed is his E, and I'd still be pissed about that depending on what you did.

I used to think that only his ult needed to be changed or possibly just a box buff, but the more I thought about, I came to the conclusion that I wouldn't really want to change a damn thing about him. Boxes can be devastating if used right, deceive is obviously strong, and E is good for the slow and the bonus damage it gains from backstab is nice. His ult also makes tower diving with an ally or really at all quite a bit easier. His entire kit has a very unique and hidden synergy that I really like.

If it were up to me, I wouldn't change him because I love him as is. When it comes down to it, though, we can't change him at all in his current form. Buffed? Unstoppable and broken. Nerfed? Too damn weak to do anything with his already binary design. If we ever want him to keep up with LoL at all, we'll have to change something eventually. Sucks, but yeah, if you want him to not fall too behind in terms of design, then we'll have to make some update to him. Hopefully it doesn't suck.
