Trying real hard to play correctly but...

... but i really need some help =/

Before i start, I'm not looking for trolls or flaming of my poor skill, seeking help.

So, I've watched a lot of league and I've learned about champions, spells, items and some other things, but knowing and putting it into action are 2 different things. I've come to ask for help. I have tried on multiple occasion to get into this game in hopes of me being able to pick it up and enjoy it, but i have so many issues with the camera angles. It really drives it down for me, being an avid World of Warcraft player, im not use to the camera control.

(Question 1) - Does anyone have any tips or tricks to controlling the camera better? Maybe some ways that helped you learn? Because i know that i should NOT get use to the cam being centered on me.

(Question 2) - Should i look for guides on Youtube from random people that are higher rank? Or should i follow the Challenger guides that are on websites that are, more often than not, in text.

Also, i have come to terms with some of the community being very toxic and childish, but i am wondering if there are any players don't mind playing with someone trying to learn and can kinda spot things I'm doing wrong as we play some PvP games. I'm not asking for a coach, just someone cool to play with me and my friend. We are both pretty new, hes fairly skilled, but we are pretty much both blind when it comes to how things are done in ranked and would like to get an idea of what we are getting ourselves into.

Thank you for the help :)

(TL;DR section: I'm new, but need some help. Tips and tricks are accepted, and would like to play with some people that know how to play instead of people starting off)

Well, first of all the camera angle thing is something you just have to get used to. Make sure your camera is locked, this means you cant look around to other parts of the map. When your camera is locked, you can only look at yourself. When it comes to watching videos, I tend to watch LCS games, and looking at some of the builds people use. When it comes down to using your summoner spells, abilities, and active items, you just have to read the situation. Like, lets say you are a very high damage, but low health champ. You need to stay in the back of team fights and go for whoever is closest to you. If you ever want to play together, just friend me. Im usually only on LoL on fridays. Just try to figure out if your cameras on lock, and if it is, turn it off. This should help with your problem. Also, what lane do you play?

I suggest fiddling with your DPI/Camera setting in the client until you find the sensitivity that's best for you. Also, remember that you can use the space bar to center the camera on yourself - in a pitched teamfight, the time you save by not having to move your mouse can make a significant difference. I don't have too much advice for learning, unfortunately - I just sorta played until it got drilled into muscle memory.

Why not both? If you happen to prefer one format over the other, that's cool, but it's good to digest as much information as you can.

@12Tales Thank you for the help :) and i have not messed with the settings for the camera, i didn't think there was an option to. - So ill make sure to go around the settings.

@Nicholas130 I added you :)

@Mr IHop Thank you for the help as well, And yes i have the camera unlocked so i can freely move it because I never see anyone who is high rated keeping it locked on themselves at all times. so I'm just getting used to it for the time being. And the role i see myself playing most is mid or support. More so on support, Mid being my second.

Another thing i must add, is there a better way to get use to last hitting? I've also had some trouble with this. Is there a good way to improve last hitting? Like Attack moving or something? I was told that attack moving helps with last hitting and i figured maybe having auto attack turned off would help as well if i don't use attack moving. So any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Also if you think knowing my choice in champ or role is important, I enjoy support most and mid second. I also really enjoy playing Zyra, Alistar, Ashe, Singed, chogath and i have started to enjoy Lissandra.

So you know you can Press Y to unlock and then you can move the screen with your mouse when it touches an edge of the screen. Also, I found it much easier to read forums and short videos than random challenger 1 hobos playing some really OP champion. And yes, the community is VERY toxic at times. Trust me, there will be games where 1 or 2 players are constantly swearing you off and telling you how bad you are. My advice is to just ignore them, or if you do talk back to them, never say mean things back, because then if he reports you, he has a reason as well. I'm not as good as othe people yet, but I've been working my way up and I think I know a thing or two. Braum

Add me if you want =)
