  • Animation canceling is literally everywhere. Get creative.
  • Engage when an opponent's ability is on cooldown, preferably their strongest ability in their early game kit (ex. Darius Q) so you guarantee you get into a trade where you have your abilities and the opponent is missing some. You can ram right into an enemy ability with your E to recreate this effect if your shield can block the damage.
  • Your ultimate lasts a long time. Play smart, don't rush yourself, and especially don't let yourself get sloppy just because you hit R.
  • You need to know how to modify your build based on the situation. Riven is actually kinda flexible from AD Caster to Melee Carry to AD Bruiser if you're comfortable enough with her, so get creative.
  • Learn how to create a pseudo 1v1. Most Riven 1-v-whatever videos show her soloing whole teams. Pay reeeeeeaaally close attention however. Notice how many people are actually hitting him at any given moment of time. He's abusing his mobility in such a way that only one person is ever doing damage to him at any given moment in this 1v4.
