Jax already builds tanky after 1-2 damage items. His ult makes him tanky too.
That looks like normal jax to me.
Go Tri-force then full tank for a real bruiser tank jax build
See, I'm thinking iceborn gauntlet could be potent on jax and could turn him into a tanky/chain-cc'ing menace. He'd lack a bit of the power of triforce, but with the added armor and the additional slow it could allow him to just e/auto people to death.

i might try that sounds real fun XD

(I know I'm a little late to the party but I felt like I can provide some insight here) Speaking as someone who has played a very large amount of jax over the year's I've played league, (won't see too much in this season since I'm a jungler now but shifting back to my top lane home :p ) Iceborn is gimmicky at best which sucks. The slow is decent and the aoe is increased in size via ulti but in reality it's not very useful. All the stats from t-force surpass the effectiveness of iceborn. You should be more concerned with your split-puch capabilities and flat out damage/ survivability then the not being kited. With max q and a bit of cdr (runes, items, blue) it's very difficult to be knocked off unless something like an alistar is there since you'll kill the person or at least bring them to 10%
I mainly go
for damage usually 2-3 of these.
for boots
for a defensive
The Iceborn I have tried out in the past and the damage loss was significant, it was honestly not nearly as good as I personally hoped
is all you need, tank jax, dmg jax what ever you do both. the 2 damage items give you armor and mr with your ult, ther steraks gives you the HP you are lacking early which compliments your 2 damage items, then you get 2 HP/Res items to finish off your build. You should actually build in this order too, with the last 2 items depending on if you need MR or Armor first.
Jax is a duelist that splitpushes. His teamfights are generally bad - you dive the backline or you get kited.
this already exists
