Soraka's gameplay feels utterly lame

It feels so dumbed down ever since her rework and then all of those additional skill changes she got.

Her Q is no longer rewarding at all, it's just there. Before at least hitting champions in its middle radius felt like accomplishing something as it added the slow on them, now the slow is just free and boring. Also hitting more than one enemy gave you a better self heal regen and now it doesn't matter if you hit all 5 at once, you get pretty much nothing out of it and that font of life passive will do nothing for your teammates either, seeing how nowadays League is nothing but insta bursts, be it damage or healing.

Her W has too high mana costs on top of the health costs that come with it.

Her current E and R are the only skills that seem to be kind of OK, but it doesn't help her overall gameplay to feel less boring and stale.

There is nothing rewarding or engaging about her gameplay anymore. You are only there to get 40/45% cdr and then spam W, hoping that your ADC can right click or your teammates use your heals to fight and not run while watching you die healing them.

I personally would like to see her Q get partially reverted to what it was right after the rework. Better healing for each champion hit and a stronger or longer slow in the middle while only a slight/short slow when it hits on the outter radius.

(I really miss her pre-rework Q, it feelt so much more organic to use with her animations and overall suited her thematically better, while also being an incredibly satisfying skill to use, even after its "damage" got gimped.)

W mana costs have to be looked into imo, maybe change it into something like "after healing an ally you regain X amount of mana within 10 seconds".

Her E has to be changed to work as a "self cast" skill, where you can press ALT+E and she will silence the ground underneath her. (several champions should have an option like that with their ground targeted skills)

As Soraka you get targeted down if the enemy team isn't completely absent minded about their focus, everyone will jump on you first and being able to ALT+E in the nick of time would allow you to more reliably punish whoever goes in to burst Soraka down. That way not only you are removed from the game but most likely also the champion(s) going in on you.

Just my thoughts about her. Her rework doesn't feel remotely as fun to play as Support as her pre-rework state (even after the nerf, which still left her at a good place as Support) and there is nothing more annoying than having a Support champion be gimped, dumbed down and left neglected because some mid/top laners cry about Support champ XY playing in their lanes.

I love current-state Soraka. So I guess to each their own. Sorry the current Soraka isn't doing it for you.

I do agree with you on the alt-e though. That'd be handy. Thumbs up for that idea.

I think she doesn't feel rewarding because she just offers raw healing (which is 60% of her kit's budget; Q = 20%, W = 20% and R = 20%) which is heavily shut down by any of these items...

item 3123 (800g) item 3076 (1000g) item 3033 (2800g) item 3075 (2900g) item 3165 (3000g)

Fun fact: her R used to cleanse Grievous Wounds.

I also mids her semi middle thing of her Q. I'm fine with them removing/reducing the damage of that, but i'm sad that it's just gone overall.

Riot will never let Soraka be good. Riot detests healers.

Though as I say that, I wonder how many of the people who hate healers are still on the design and balance teams.
