Orange essence? Solution?

So as many MANY people know, this abomination is been HELL to get across ever since Crafting was remade for the BE transfer, It just takes far too long to grind for the OE for a skin when disenchanting a skin of the same quality only gives 1/5 of the price

" but anon it's a free to play system you should be happy with what you get!"

While i agree with this statement it shouldn't take me a solid 2-3 weeks of grinding to get a skin that costs 975

However i did not come here just to bitch i came here with a solution that may or may not be viable

I say you should be able to along side purchasing Blue essence with the Event Currency given out during a larger event(Odyssey,Worlds,Halloween)

This would give those with all champions already purchased something to spend their spare EventTokens on instead of just turning them into MORE BE in which they don't already need, while giving those who are purchasing the Event Orbs/Bags/<InsertCosmeticGiverHere a way to trade off some Tokens for the Orange essense to get the skin they want or perhaps a skin they've been unable to acquire normally,

Any thoughts on this? I feel like this would be a good QOL change for the otherwise starving OE.

With the reduction in OE for disenchanting, we were supposed to get more events that gave out OE.

Now the problem with this is it punished people who cant participate, and I dont remember the last time I got OE from an event. There were supposed to happen from time to time. I guess that was a lie.

I know I have gotten OE from missions in the past. Not saying there havent been any. Just that Iv missed them if there have been, leaving me with shit OE disenchant values, and no mission rewards to make up the difference.

League has among the most crap "f2p earnable rewards free stuff" models Iv ever seen. Of course its improved from NOTHING that existed when it started. That said its still really grindy, feels worse if you play solo, and rather arcane in the | Cest + Keys + Essence (CKE) | arrangement where in most games you get "drops" and youre done (on top of this it requires a skill level grade as opposed to time like many games, and has an "at best" rate you can get stuff 1 chest a week). Not saying the CKE model is bad, but its a rather obvious psychological manipulation; got a bunch of chest no keys? We sell those, bunch of keys no chest? We sell those. When your "earnable rewards free stuff" has a monitization angle, then its probably not rewards so much as a well crafted income stream.

But were talking about OE. This horse has been beaten to death, beaten some more, animated into a zombie horse so it can be beaten and ridden to places while being beaten, then beaten by more people once it arrives, they dont give a damn. They really dont.

In my opinion, the whole hextech crafting system is there as a bulletpoint feature instead of an actual feature. It gives out just enough stuff that there will be people who say "FREE STUFF IS FREE" and shout critics down. Iv gotten stuff from it, but only 2 skins for champs I play, and I already had skins I liked more than what I got so I felt like I didnt really get anything...

All that said OP, the idea of changing event tokens into OE is cool, and I like it, but they wont do it. Even if they did. They would just offload more of the tokens into the purchasable missions so people would be able to "buy OE" by completing missions.

Anyway, good post, cross our fingers and hope.

Yes but look at other side remember prices of Ultimate skins?

If u get ultimate skin shard you can redeem it for free without OE charge.

Dont buy all the champs, just the ones you use
Reroll shards if 975 or under. When it's a permanent you get half the OE value on DE, so if you get a 1350 perm you can DE it for 675. Much better value than even if you DEd three 975 shards (x20% x3 = 585). Even better if they were like 520 or some other low crap value shards

And I need something to spend my OE on... I have all skins and Orange Essence is useless (even more than blue)
