Malphite's mana pool

I've been playing Malphite about a year as my main toplaner (i'm main supp, and silver atm) and i always feel like he runs oom so fast I always have to recall first. At the beginning i thought i was bad and i didn't controle the mana i had. It was true, but i've been improving my skill, having quite match-ups on top, and in all of them i didn't have enough mana to keep the lane 1v1. I'm currently playing with flask all match-up, taking Doran's Ring and Glacial Shroud at first back. Am I a noob Malph or the champion need a little buff? Pls buff or teach me to play :P

PD: Buff Blitz. Specifically his AS on W. Blitz jungle is OP 8)

its not all you bro, flask is standard start because he is mana hungry. I would consider catalyst for first back instead, i know you get a little armor and whatnot, but the flask like passive on catalyst will help a lot, plus rod of ages is really good on him, then go for that frozen heart.

Malph's QWE combo actually doesn't cost much since W is a steroid. It's Q spam that runs you OOM. If you're having trouble managing Malph's costs switch to E max instead of Q, and only use Q when chasing or escaping. WE is better harass if you can get some AA's in. Not quite as safe though.

Most tanks have archaic mana pools with punishing costs. In fact, one of the things that put Sejuani back into the limelight was a significant mana pool update.

k i now this wont help the mana issue too much, but why dont you try the aoe build? babysunfire, gauntlet, tiamat. you wont have any mana issues really. just max e then w, only 1 point in q till you have to level it up. dont harass with it at all.
