Master yi sated devour and wuju style

I like playing Master Yi and was wondering about his gameplay. I know that smiting a enemy champion with devour smite grant Yi true damage for 3 sec but i wanted to know if the damage adds up with wuju style if I activate it at the same time or if i should wait 3 sec and then activate wuju style to do more true damage over time.
