[S7] Jungle Shaco Champion Analytics - League of Legends - League of Legends

Shaco Hi, im a Shaco main. I have invested most of my playtime in league of legends over the last few years on this fun champion. I hit d3 with shaco top in season 5. Later hitting d3 with shaco jungle s6 and d1 in s7. But after patch 7.13, and the other nerfs to shaco, im honestly struggeling to have game impact in plat elo. With this post im just going to air some ideas about the subject of shaco.

Shaco's playstyle is described by Riot in patch 7.13 as a "sort of tanky fighter with some dashes and a slow that allows him to stick to one target and stat check them to death" -We want him to feel more rewarded for building damage and stabbing people, they continue.

Shaco is, in most peoples regard, an earlygame champion focusing on invading and ganking. But with the recent changes he has negative winrate in games that are shorter than 30 minutes, his winrate grows steadily and pases the 50% border at 30-35 minutes , ending as the champion with the highest winrate in 40+ minute games. This is in short because riot has nerfed his earlygame, compensating with retarded scaling into lategame. This makes no sense, as Shaco should be played as an earlygame high risc/reward champion. Overall he has a winrate of about 50.02% and a low pickrate.

MAIN PROBLEM: Q AND E RELATIONS.

  1. Shaco has one reliable dmg spell early, his "E". which, lets be honest, is useless at lower ranks when you have allmost no items.
  2. Shaco has allmost no ganking opportunity if you are going to max "E" first, as his invis duration from "Q" is scaling with points put into the ability. Simply put you can gank with no dmg, or opt for dmg but nearly never pull off ganks. Invading the enemy jungler (while putting points into "E") seems like the only option left. And that is not a reliable jungle approach. Lategame on the otherhand you have high dmg from "e" (if you are full ad) and can be invisible for 4.5 second. Your "E" passive (that slows) also scales with points put into the ability. Meaning less slow early, more slow lategame.
  3. "E" no longer deal magic dmg, meaning shaco no longer have realiable magic dmg. Consistantly getting off dmg from "W" and "R-explotion" is not something that will happen in most situations. This makes it easier to build defence when facing shaco. Sure "E" wont proc hexdrinker anymore, but overall not a positive change for shaco.

Shaco has been a target for many nerfs after his rework, and now i think riot have gone to far. His identity as an earlygame champion is just not there anymore.

In Game of Thrones terms: Shaco is Theon Greyjoy and Riot is Ramsay Bolton. Tortured (Nerfed) him a while ago only to get this amazing moment were he thinks the Girls that come to give him a little pleasure (Assassin Rework) would give him something to finally be happy about or feel some sort of pleasure and Ramsey (Riot) insists on him to indulge..... Only then for it to be a ruse and excuse to castrate (take away Q damage all together) him and nothing but more torture (nerfs) till hes broken and no longer Theon (assassin) but Reek (bruiser). A shell of his former self.

Shaco sucked as soon as they gave him a rework. Made him even more feast or famine because of how much his kit would be broken if he was every strong

Do shaco mains also find his passive to be a problem, like the fact that they want to in courage ad builds but make his passive scale off ap? Also do you think the new item 3147 will have a good impact on shaco? Would also increasing the base dmg on his e help or revert it completely?
