So im gold and i join ranked to play against platinums etc and i get to play with teammates like 26 level and 30 that dont know the game.. whats up with that shitty matchmaking?
It is because matching is inclined more towards giving games fast and less or not at all towards giving fair games. I assume you and the support were pre and mid+APC were pre; in order to lower Q time it put you two groups together, so that average mmr of your team+premade mmr is nearby your opponent team mmr.
Always check your teammates profiles during champ select and dodge such games. Gl hf*[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]*
Oh that's the norm and not the exception my friend. Game's MM has been hugely shit since at least s8 . Mismatched teams every game , then riot pikachufaces when people lose their shit or run it down .

It is trash regardless if they are ranked or lvl 30. League tries to force 50% winrate for carrot on a stick. It will destroy this game and rightfully so.
Normal matchmaking has always been terrible.

Gotta love the unranked Morde Rito threw into my G4>3 promo game today; really helped the team by not knowing when to ult, when to fight, how to ward, how to farm or even how to polay vs Yorick in general. That dude was not ready for a Ranked game of that tier, and Riot ruined everyone's experience of the game by putting him there; that dude got stomped and flamed, and the other 4 of us had to try to carry him.
S/G might be the average skill level once you know the game, but for new players you are just a liability with sub-par game knowledge.
Everyone on the enemy team is gold or silver in flex queue
Your team was made of gold silver and bronze and an unranked (which I can't judge because MMR is hidden)
