My opinion on upcoming Ahri nerfs

Increasing the mana cost on Orb Of Deception is fine but shifting too much power on Charm is not good. It's not just going to make Foxfire (That is if they hit it and not spirit rush) completely worthless, but her gameplay pattern is going to be much more linear and less interactive then before. That also means less risk players are willing to take and more people bitching about adding even MORE safety.

Sure, you are going to need to land that charm now, but the point is Charm is guaranteed to be maxed second after Orb Of Deception. The upside to this power shift towards her is not only the damage will be higher, but the CC duration will be longer at earlier stages of the game.

Most people Max both Orb Of Deception and Foxfire first and put only 1 point into charm. The balance here is that maxing Foxfire ensures putting herself into autoattack range in order to get the majority of her damage off while sacrificing CC duration. That was suppose to be the direction going forward in her 5.3 nerfs. Less range on Foxfire and Spirit rush so she would have to get closer to her opponents. Not the case here because the ability will altogether be ignored.

This is all due to the stubbornness of leaving the MS buff on her Q which EVERYONE including myself was not a fan of it.

Season 4 Ahri is still the best version of her. Completely vulnerable when her Ult is down, rewarded very heavily for landing Charm, and unlike the potential change it amplifies the rest of her abilities. She still had to commit in order to get her damage off.

If Riot is insisting on sticking with the Ultra kite gameplay, then it's best off to start with JUST the mana cost increase on her Q.
