Riot please stop forcing new meta's and ruining the game for the average player you're completely killing the game just so you can focus on worlds, and the income you generate from it. You are losing all or your main streamers and Youtubers. you allow the game to be run by the toxic player base because you don't enforce hard enough penalties often enough. the whole community and game have become toxic and unsafe for average or new players.
A Doorknob1 votesHow do they allow the game to be ran by toxic people? They completely discourage it. They advertise that optimism in a game will boost your win rate. They go as far as perma banning people for toxic behaviour. What more do you want them to do? Come over to your laptop and give you a tutorial on how to use the mute players button? Heck, if you leave in game, you get a leaver buster which for the next 5 games not only do you have to wait 20 minutes, you get placed with other leavers as punishment. I've yet to see another Moba do that.

The community is so huge and most of it is toxic players and its becoming the regular just to be toxic instead of polite and helpful. And riot is just helping by forcing these new Broken Meta's every time they update. Or every time they rework a champ or item it becomes completely busted.

On the part for toxic players, I don't understand how you want them to proceed. They have a the hugest amount of players that play. If you have an idea post it to their technical support board or w/e board it would be in. I don't know what else they could do.
As for the new meta, the asn update was much needed and I think they did a good job. Now they just need to balance them which will come. We are entering a new season. Every new season will be off the charts and unorganized. They too need some time to adapt.
New items and champs will be busted. It's true for almost any game. It's almost requirement. They can only fix what is used. If they were to bring a champion that was too weak to play or an items that was too weak, they wouldn't be used. How do you want them to collect information on what isn't used? How would they proceed to fix the champion or item?
HorsemanOfDeath1 votesThat is what the PBE is used for, and then they still allow it to make it to the real servers and its stays that way for months until enough people have flooded their message boards with complaints. Anyway as far as banning people they need to block I.P. addresses or download addresses. Since this is such a large game that's free to play with such a huge population that is toxic they need to make steeper more aggressive penalties for toxicity. and by perma banning I.P. addresses i think they can solve a huge issue. Even banning people from ranked play for a season, and or allowing then to only play custom games. The toxic players will get mad and either quit playing the game or they will do what they always say the are going to do and get on another account.

But ill explain to you how their punishments are a joke and as much as you say they discourage it, they do not do enough or even do what they should do and then even over punish people for less severe offenses than people they just give a slap on the wrist for worse stuff.
I started playing this game about a year after my girlfriend found it and started playing it. I would hear typing fast arguing and flaming people in the game whether right or wrong all the time. It took a year before she got her 1st ban which was a few days. Then she was banned again a few months later foir the same thing even though I would hear and see her doing it almost every game. After that she only played ARAm and then just stopped playing the game altogether.
Now I still play it and have been playing this game for about 4 years. I am one of the very few people left that you will see with any type of honor badge on the load screens. I rarely give people a reason to report me..in fact the only reports I do get are maybe people reporting for feed who for whatever reason do not understand that you can not report people for dieing unless it is INTENTIONAL.
Now just last week I got a 10 game chat restriction just for telling a 3 man premade to "stfu & leave me alone." I was top lane defending a tower vs 2 people. The 3 premade and the other solo player was bot fighting the other 3 people on other team. They all 4 dieing in a 4v3 fight and somehow blame me saying I wasnt there. yeah i wasnt there because i was defending a turret 1v2 top. So after that the 3 premade start flaming me so i tell them stfu and leave me alone. Then one of them said i was reported and i said "likewise."
After game they all 3 are saying to report me and telling other team to report me.
I leave post game chat and go to play another game but someone dodged and AS SOON as i got back to the main screen in the client I get a message saying I had a 10 game chat restriction. It wasnt even 10 min and I was already punished? A person who to his knowledge never gets reported, gives others a legit reason to report or has even received a warning. And to add on to that after i completed my 10 game chat restriction I was not even allowed to receive rewards for awhile...no key fragments or chests for S grades. Each time i earned 1 i got a message saying i couldnt get them.
So to see my gf flame for a year before she received any type of punishment...and then another 6 months before another punishment......and then for me for the 1st time yeah maybe i shouldnt of typed "stfu"...but seriously.....not even 10 min later im insta punished and then punished more after i complete the 10 games.
So no matter what they do, they can always do more and they can at least take the time to correctly punish people.
When someone who I reported gets punished i get a message saying someone i recently reported received a punishment.......Im sure you have gotten this message too a few times. The game that i got punished for like i said the 3 premade was flaming me...i reported them also......i get insta punished and they were not punished even tho i reported them and for what they were saying to me......including kill myself......im pretty sure it wasnt their 1st time flaming somone...and they received nothing.
A Doorknob1 votesPeople telling others to report you is a bannable offence. Riot has advertised this in the past. As well, being unable to use chat is more of blessing in this game than a curse. Have you contacted their support? I could understand if you told me their support sucks because it does. But to claim their system is bad...I disagree. Could they do better? They sure could! but that's not a real argument. But as it stand, their system is works for now until they can ameliorate it. They don't look through every ban themselves. There would be WAY TOO MUCH. And now, with replays being saved coming in the next Client it'll be even better (assuming chat log is saved). You'll have a better chance to defend yourself if you bring the issue up with customer service. Unfortunately though, that's where the system becomes horse shit. They're customer support staff is useless. Most of the time they just automate message you which is pretty bullshit.

Glad you seen and commented on my post about this and at least somewhat agree or understand the issue(s) I'm trying to point out. You guys have made really good arguments for both sides of the issue. And seem like the player base we need more of for this game to last.
