Games feel surprisingly difficult out of no where?

DoobyDobby - Summoner Stats - League of Legends

I was at one point this season Gold III but it feels like as the season draws closer to the end the games start feeling unbelievably difficult. Fighting high gold players was nothing but now I'm losing games to bronze players and it feels completely hopeless. Is the match making that bad or is something else going on?
