Basically the title. I usually always pick fill, and get support. It's like a 90% of the time. I really don't mind as it's working as intended; however, I think I would enjoy it if it was a random position instead of a filled position. Either that or give me a random option! So i actually am given a different role.... plz rito snacks.

Roll a 20 sided die: 1-4 top, 5-8 mid, 9-12 jungle, 13-16 bot, 17-20 support
For your secondary pick roll the 20 sided die again, except this time the ranges would be 1-5, 6-10, 11-15, and 16-20 for the remaining four roles.

JRobin311 votesI think picking fill is fine for normal games and in fact should be a truly random position. As far as ranked games go, I think it is sub-optimal to pick fill.
The old meaning of fill is gone. In the old system, players picked fill because they wanted to optimize the chances of that everyone on the team got a good position. But now, in the new system, players queue up according to the roles they play best. So choosing fill no longer helps your team fill their roles optimally and instead only increases the chances that you get a position that is sub-optimal for you. Essentially, there is no longer an empty role on your team to "fill". Instead, there is an empty role in the system that you can choose to fill so that your opponents will have an easier time against your team.
