AOE ability vision clarity

Everyone that has been around the game for a while knows that when you cast any AOE ability with the center point of that ability out of vision of the enemy (eg. In a bush) then any of the regular visual warnings to the opposing players are also not visible either. Most players know this and pretty much everyone also tries to use it to there advantage.

My question is, how is this considered to fit into Riot's frequently proclaimed desire for clarity? This is probably the biggest clarity issue in the entire game.

Riot has gone out of there way to make sure that they have added fair warning and clarity to several other similar functions in the game but have left this alone. For instance, whenever some one tp's to a ward that is in a bush, regardless of if you have vision in that bush, you have a visual warning of the tp as long as you have vision outside of the bush in question.

How this applies in game is totally inconsistent with everything else similar to it in game. A few examples of this are

  • You can see the visual warnings of AOE abilities as long as you can see the center of the ability regardless of if you can see the champion casting the ability
  • You can see the little flash from someone putting a ward down into a bush even though you don't have vision in that bush
  • You can see several abilities from enemy champions even in the fog of war. (eg Shaco box)
  • tp's as mentioned above
  • Riot has "fixed" many projectile abilities to give you visual warning through barriers (eg. Lissandra claw over a wall gives you the visual warning while the claw is mid wall)

These are the first ones that came to mind, but I am sure that there are several others that apply as well.

Now don't get me wrong, this is not a game breaking problem. Like I said pretty much everyone knows it is the case, and everyone that knows about it tries to use it in their favor. But I do believe that it is a problem that should be fixed. This is the only thing in the game that reacts this way

What is everyone's thoughts on this inconsistency? In my mind this is about the same level of a bug as the invisible Nidalee spears from a few months back. The only difference between the two is that Nidalee's invisible spear were easier to use because it didn't have as many conditions that had to be met for it to be used effectively.
