Twisted Fate mid or adc?

Twisted fate has a good kit, but it seems to support being a adc or marksmen more than being a mage. With his w scaling off 100% ad and around 50% ap its easy to see which one would be preferable, and with his e boosting attack speed and giving him bonus magic damage on his fourth attack it seems like attack speed is key to this champ since they were to add it in addition to his e. His passive encourages farming and but doesn't seem to provide much benefit unless you use to kill several at once and even at the end of a match would only give me a benefit of 1000 gold. His q is his ability which benefits most from ap since it doesn't scale with ad but drains his mana so much that even when i play mage tf i don't use it much, and when i play adc tf i dont even upgrade it until my w and e are all done. His ult is great for both ad or ap since it doesnt scale with anything and can provide great ganks. so twisted fate while being supposedly a mage seems to do better with ad than ap to me and his passive seems incredibly underpowered no matter how he plays. pretty sure if anyone needs a rework he might be one.
