Normal game matchmaking broken for support mains?

So I don't know if I just have the worst luck in all of league of legends but I can't seem to get a single good team when playing normal games unless I queue for an off role because if I ever queue support I'll get a brain dead adc who tries to end world hunger with their feeding yet if I get ANY other role I suddenly get competent teammates. I want to know what the deal it because I thought riot wanted more people to play support but if this keeps up I'm no longer going to be a support main because this makes league flat out unplayable. If any riot employees are out there and know how matchmaking works I'd just love to know why you seem to hate support mains since several of my other support main friends are having the same issue. please fix this asap because I'm inclined to not play at all until this is fixed
