I'm so tired , of losing games because people can't get the roles they want, or get forced on roles they can't play. I really believe that to show your own skill you should be able to play the role you want and climb solo queue. I really believe that it would be better if there was a team builder option or something similar for ranked . It cuts out on the issue of TOP or FEED or Diamond smurf Mid
Riot did say they were working on a ranked team builder.
So there's that.
Dont play ranked if you cant play every role. This is just why so many people who shouldnt be in ranked matches screw over their teamates who are trying their asses off to get out of ranks they may not belong in.
It's in production, has been for a while. Just be patient a little while longer.
About a month ago, I saw on the LOL Reddit that there was something posted about adding thsi, a Rioter confirmed it, and said that they are working out a couple tweaks still, the post is about the tribunal, but ends up going off topic about a quarter way down the page and people start talking about this, here is a small excerpt that I copied:

Umm this would kinda be impossible since most people not saying all but most would want to be top mid jungle or adc because they want to carry the game, now I'm not saying you can't carry on supp but most people do not like having to rely on another person in a lane to help you win it. Its kinda the same problem World of Warcraft has or any rpg that has a matchmaking system people do not want to be a supp class...they want to do the damage and go balls to the wall
I can see this being a good idea, however because I'm a support main, I really don't have a lot of issues getting the role I desire. I can imagine that queue times in a ranked team builder being pretty long because, even now the few times I don't queue as support, very rare occasion; I'm waiting 5 to 10 mins if not longer just to play a game. That's not including the time people dodges groups because they don't like the team comp. I'm guilty of doing that myself on support from time to time an because I know my queue time is short, I can pick an choose my groups. Its not the right thing to do but its a factor that could really play a role into this idea.
nice idea, but they should remove 2 things:

Yeah they are working on ranked team builder.
And people like me are probably the problem in ranked. Yes I can play all the roles, I'm just not nearly as good at some of them. So my team is at a big advantage when I play one role but a disadvantage when I play another, etc. I do feel bad for them that they often win or lose games just based on which role they let me have.
