The gamble that is Pyke

Hello Rioters,

I was wondering if the people who designed Pyke had a "plan b" for the champion. Visually and thematically, i really enjoy his presence in the champion roster.

However, the concept of an assassin-support hybrid is a novelty. One that i would argue has never been done before in a similar fashion. The issue that could appear, in my opinion, is that the support-assassin fantasy that pyke fulfills is in fact unnatainble, or not viable in the state of the game. If such an issue arrives, does Riot have a "plan b" already planned for him, since he is a truly unique champ with a even more unique playstyle.

As always, A+ to the creative team of champion design in LA, you guys keep making this game fresh after nearly a decade.

A concerned (early) Pyke enthusiast.[slayer-jinx-wink]

I think his passive will actually make him a decent support. Gives him access to support items without sacrificing to much damage. His kit while part assassin looks like it can actually be used to get a pick/engae/peel. Not aswell as something like and alistar or TK but he only needs to peel until he can start using his Ult to clean people up

Hes honestly not that big of a gamble. Even if nothing else on his kit works, stealth into hook will make him about as viable as Blitzcrank. He will always be a decent pick alongside Draven to make him snowball even harder.

His jungle clear will suck, he has more hard cc than early game damage, his abilities probably won't scale incredibly well and half the charm of his ult is that it gives the carry gold so it would be wasted potential to get tons of solo kills in the mid or top lane.
