Galio is BOMB

Garen does counter him slightly. But if played right Galio can dominate

When the rework first come out I went up against him and did very well as full tank , which I honestly feel is a good match-up against Galio. I fought Galio a few more times after it and played him a couple times and I like him but I feel he might do a little to much damage for the amount of CC he has, though I don't really consider him OP or drastically needing nerfs or anything, at least not yet.

I'd suggest maybe lowering down his damage from his Passive, considering that it's very quick and easy to get to if I were to offer a suggestion to nerf him. Though as I mentioned before, I don't feel like he is in a huge need for it yet, I'd wait a few more days at least before really thinking that he needs one or not.

lol galio isn't broken top. He just doesn't have as large gaping mana problems. He's at a disadvantage vs most tops. The reason he seems op is the same as thresh, his base kit makes him valuable even if he's way behind. Like Blitzcrank you only scale so far and rely on burst for damage. Don't get me wrong some tops like riven you can build like a normal tank and wear them down over a protracted fight. But that is most tanks vs limited lifesteal bruisers. He's hard to cs with mid game unless you get lot's of mana.

That's why most people are now playing him as a support. I do to for the most part but I go top as a back up. Relic shield gives you survivability and helps keep your lane down. You always start with q since it's all your damage. He's really great if they have an ap support.
