The State of Early Game Stompers

With the introduction of first tower blood, I've seen a lot more early game stomp out champions.

As a a guy who enjoys playing Fiora fairly often, the one most noticeable is pantheon. If you haven't played it is actual hell (but I'm not here to discuss that, so you can chill with the Git Gud). This match up and many others between multiple champions feels like a choice between feed or starve. Now that's been a part of the game for a while but it wears on your tower. With the introduction of first tower gold, not only do you get behind really fast, their whole team benefits from a lane match-up you can do little about if your jungler never intervenes. I feel like i would just point this out, because now the game has gone from counterpicking to win lane, to counterpicking to prematurely snowball my entire team. If first tower gold stays, then i believe hard counters should be balanced around it so that they can be outplayed.

And a premature footnote. I know junglers are here to help this issue. But you can't balance lane phase around co-operation of two people in strictly different areas. Junglers have much more to do than camp your sorry lane because they don't want you to put them behind so drastically. Or riot could just remove penalties for dodging. Thats become the most viable strategy to not losing a big chunk of Lp against rough match ups.
