Anyone else think the way surrender work is a poor joke of a voting system?

Pretty sure this falls under gameplay so... So I rarely surrender or vote to surrender if the game really does look salvageable, but there are those times where its really not worth dragging out a obvious loss. yet when the vote for surrender comes up and 3 out of five ( majority) say yes and that one guy says no while the last guy doesn't vote at all (real game example btw) it will fail

I really thing the system is a joke. why is voting even there if the vote will fail when the majority wants to surrender and that one guy doesn't vote? Just saying but a really vote system, and yes there are many games with it and it actually works. have a majority rule.

this is how it should be

3 for, 2 against equals surrender, 3 for , 1 no, 1 non-vote is a surrender. vise versa if its 2 for, 3 against. the majority (3/5) should always win the vote. I really think it needs to be set up for that, I've seen vote systems in other game and it works like that, so why should this be different and have 3 people get frustrated at others. cause i mean when it gets down to it. if three people vote to surrender , they are already in that mindset of "this is over , I'm done" and arn't going to play there best, so it really just hinders the two who still want to keep going cause then they don't get a 100% effort out of the other player.

whats everyone else's thoughts on this? also do you think the voting system should be changed to a true majority ( 3 of 5 always wins)

My answer is no is shouldn't be changed and no it isn't fine. A player sometimes is too involved in fighting to worry about answering a surrender vote and he shouldn't be penalized by having to waste time answering no. Also, there needs to be an option to remove surrender votes from the HUD entirely. Making it smaller is helpful, but it needs to go away completely. (my answer is no, it has always been no, and it will continue to be no)

The voting system was partly based on some very rational assumptions.

It automatically assumes that the reason why everyone is here in the first place is to play and finish, be it win or loss, the game.

That's why no vote is auto- assumed a No, and 3/2 is considered a no go.
