Riot and counterplay, the biggest hypocrisy ever

So with the assasain rework riot was all about adding counterplay and making it more than champ x presses all their buttons and champs y dies. Why then do they refuse to add counterplay to other champs. All of the simple champs made for new players have too little counterplay and actually hurt new players. For instance the bruisers like garen have "kitability" as their only weaknesses but if you've ever played below like diamond (which ik the balance team has bc several of them are in silver) you would know that being kited isn't a weakness because teams don't layer cc or protect the carries, they just dive in. Also champs like annie with an aoe stun and burst have barely any counterplay to, for example, flash r. And an almost free win in team fights every 5 mins is enough to win almost an game meaning her relying on flash isn't much of a weakness.

Being easy to kite is one of the biggest weaknesses you could have in League. There is an extreme scarcity of champions that aren't packed with some form of CC, even a slow fucks Garen's day up if you use it after his Q.

Brace yourself, the assassin QQing idiots will flood in.

I mean, anything below diamond is normally considered a pub stomper for the ones you listed. You really can't nerf/balance something for people aren't as experienced or good well versed in game technique.

if you are saying Annie's 5 minute cd flash ult aoe stun has no counterplay, what about Syndra's 6.6 second cd 1100 range E aoe stun?

this is a fault of the players who havent learned to utilize counterplay, not the absence of it.

riot doesnt balance around silver, unless its cases of extreme outliers, because at that rating individual mistakes outweight any balance theyre trying to create by such a large margin that its a futile attempt.

you cant balance around people who are playing like shit, because they will always find a way to screw up games.

Good point yet weak examples.

Garen's weakness is that he doesn't do damage, has no hard cc, is slow, has no engage ability, has no sustain in combat. His only non-weakness was that he could snowball to midgame if he won lane. They took that away in addition to tenacity and speed in exchange for a situational kill steal.

TL;DR You: Wah Wah Wah, people that play mechanically simpler champions should be better at video games or quit playing.

I completely agree but why would they care? Riot has always been like this, saying one thing and doing or not doing another (my favorite is saying how marksmen are in a good spot). Assassins' original 'weakness' was their team fights were really not there. Most would disagree with champs like Fizz or Katarina but whatever. If anything, I fear for mages, groups of champs I play. If Riot is sooo concerned about assassins' burst then I fear for mages that can do that at range with crowd control. I honestly do not understand why Riot is changing classes as a whole and not look at the individual champions themselves. I know marksmen won't be touched so I will have to continue to have do deal with their nonsense 3 auto crits to kill a mage and go from 1% to 50% HP with 4 auto attacks on minions. I am just scared that Riot will touch on mages next. They are already taking away our few 100 AP items, so that is a nerf to all mages, but if we still have our burst, then I can expect we will be next. Anyway, I do not think Riot really cares about how we, the players, feel about the game as much as they care about making money and so they do things that work well for the higher tier players... in theory. Most high tier players have probably had the experience of working against an assassins burst.

I agree to an extent. but you will be hit with the flood of League warriors and they will punish you with a -point.
