Can you still alter the style of the floating combat text?

I know we used to be able to create/edit a .cfg in the DATA folder to alter the floating damage/gold text (font/size/color). Can you still do this? How? Is this even allowed? Are the numbers I'm talking about even called the "combat text" in 'interface' or are these something else?

Mine just seem tiny and weirdly contrasted and they're only there for a split second. They definitely don't look like, say, SoloRenektonOnly's floating text in his videos. Wait, is there something wrong with my install? Do everyone's look like his, lol?

I feel like it would help me in lane if i could tweak them to my liking. Peace and thanks in advance!
