Why is Hexakill played on Twisted Treeline instead of Summoner's rift?

Whenever Hexakill was introduced in the rotating game mode the first time on Twisted Treeline, I thought "Oh sure, that doesn't sound too bad, could be fun." However, it ended in a major upset, people just running around and gathering kills turns into a headache after a while. In my head, I had pictured Riot switching it between the two maps every rotation, but since that is not the case I ask why.

What is your reasoning behind putting it on the smaller map? In my opinion, it would be much more interesting having 6 people on a team in Summoner's rift. Two jungler's, or triple bot lane, now that would be much more fun.

I didn't like Hexakill SR because it wasn't much different than a normal game, except if you're laning you get ganked twice as often, and if you're a jungler you get half the farm. Not much fun imo.

On TT, it just turns into chaos, which is good mindless fun for a FGM, and also great practice for mechanics.

The point IS because the map is smaller and that there are only 2 lanes that are very close together.

People would end up complaining about SR Hexakill when they have to solo lane because somebody decided to jungle, and I don't think many people who choose to jungle would want another jungler taking their camps. Then we have those individuals who have different ideas on how Hexakill should be played.

Due to the way Summoner's Rift is, it wouldn't feel all too different than a regular SR unless you were playing with friends or open minded individuals who don't mind lane diversity.

Think URF but without the crazy ability changes.

I believe it was a glitch that allowed 6 people to play on that mode a while back so they made it an actual mode. am i right?

but when hexakill first came out it was for SR too right?
