I really miss playing Zac I haven't played him at all except when I get him in ARAM without any rolls left. He is horrible completely horrible to play. Not under powered or what not just completely not fun to play anymore.

Before your ult could cc in team fights. But now there are so many champions with CC that stop it or slows you down. And the blobs don't get me started with blobs. They are probably the most frustrating thing on earth. They go so freaking far. And lastly when you play him it just feels like he doesn't do enough damage even after a few items I know he kinda does but it just doesn't feel like it.

Please give me hope that Riot is working on bringing him back. He's got the best lines ever.

I've seen Zac players in ranked ganks recently who have done fine. He's forgotten by the public right now, but he's still really strong. He did on Yasuo wombo comps better then Malphite, I think, and his damage is still deceptively consistent.

If you want to play him, play him. Every player learns the hard way that the only way to make a non meta champion work well is to just get tons of experience time on them. The longer you wait, the harder it will be when you go back.
