i love aatrox to death, it seems he hasnt been really good in forever and im just wondering when he will get some sort of buff or something

Aatrox is pretty good as he is, it's just a tad harder to use him properly than some other champs.

If you build him Damage and Lifesteal, he is definitely a lategame Hyper Carry. I was 3/10, but once I had my items I got my first Pentakill ever. item 3153 item 3812 item 3074 item 3065 item 3072

If you want a better early to midgame, build him Tanky, with AD and HP item 1413 item 3748 item 3065 item 3022 item 3071

I prefer 0/18/12 masteries for Windspeaker and Runic Armor.

Probably one of the most awful build I have ever seen on Aatrox.

But well, you are Bronze 2, I guess that anything can work in this elo.

To answer the OP :

Never, Riot hates heavy sustain champions and Aatrox is a heavy sustain champion. Until Riot decides to rework the diving fighter class (Jax, Irelia, Xin, J4 and Aatrox) he will never be good.

He will be what he is right now : average.

what's so bad about it? item 3153 and item 3074 or item 3072 or both followed by item 3065 its pretty much the standart build I have seen in every other guide.

And the idea to base a build around item 3748 I got from a Diamond guide.

The revamped Mastery trees give you some pretty sick Lifesteal/Regen, even more than before.

Aatrox is probably sleeper OP if you build him right. Try the broken devourer build that everyone's been spamming in the jungle: item 3931 item 3124 item 3006 item 3146 item 3115 item 3026 Look at how his abilities scale (and how his ultimate works) and do some mental math: http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Aatrox
