Why remove Executioner's Calling but leave in Morello's?

I understand that Morello's is a well rounded item and fairly price, but to see the current "meta" just blindly rushing it seems ridiculous. I personally hate the item. I hate getting it and hate seeing people get it/stack it. Only reason I would ever need to get it was against a Swain and even then it doesn't help much.

Then there's Executioner's. Super cheap, pretty bad stats overall, but the effect is (in my opinion) A LOT better. As long as you AA you can keep refreshing grievous wounds instead of when the enemy is below 40% by using magic/spell damage. Both items have been off the radar for ages before people started realizing what they did, but could never justify getting one due to the poor stats and taking up inventory.

So the reasoning for removing Executioner's is due to the lack of use? Why not just revamp it like every other item in the damn game currently.

Morello and EC are both made fro quickly regenering champs.

But ADC does not need EC to kill this kind of champ. ADC has great and stable (with critical spikes) damage output. On the other hand APC does need is as APCs lack stable damage output and depend more on quick burst or slow chunking. And good regen/heal works good against both APC types.

It was explained kinda well in the patch notes where they eliminated it (SoTD, EC and Atma) "Either being abusable in edge cases (hello Sword of the Divine Rengar), or being 'trap' items that are rarely (if ever) the correct strategic purchase."

EC was an item that lost every kind of significance from the exact moment BoTRK came out, as BoTRk became clearly the best item to shred out tanks

Now every douche bag AP builds morello's and you can't do anything about it. I like build executioners cuz people like alistar, leona, singed, chogath were owned by it. Why the hell keep morellos? It doesn't makes sense, AP's are already over powered. There is no need to remove executioner's calling. The only team that counters AP is full bruisers team and spirit visage doesn't do a good job countering bursts of AP. sorry this game is just rigged and it just will never be balanced or fixed. S2 was probably the most balanced game because tanks could be countered and built accordingly to AP bursts. Same with carries. At least carries didn't fight in team fights and saw one syndra ult just kill them. Really riot?
