You die= you're a feeder

I don't understand the mentality behind some players. I am often called a feeder if I die, even though I was running away. Do people not see you running the opposite direction? Do they not know about Stuns, Slows, other forms of CC?

A feeder is someone whom doesnt learn from there mistakes and constantly keeps dying because of that. It doesn't matter if you are running away if you are putting yourself in a position where you will die over and over you are feeding. If you are dying because Renekton just keeps E through minions and stunning you when you try and farm you are feeding. Let Renekton shove wave so you can CS undertower if Renekton freezes ask your jungler to come top and help break the freeze DO NOT tell him to gank BE CERTAIN he understands that only want the freeze broken if you think the enemy can 1v2 you.

Technically, dying DOES mean you are feeding them (aka giving them gold, making them fed)

But I don't think it makes you a feeder unless you constantly die

I'm referring more to me running away, and an enemy will slow me and kill me. Then teammates get on my ass about feeding.

There is this weird environment which riot created, where negative aspects of the single player game are still given shit, but the team play aspect is very much undervalued by the community compared to riot. I do blame riot for this more than the community though. I don't think they had any way of knowing this would be what would happen, but i do think it's a side effect of them trying to fundamentally change their game. Fundamentally this is a completely different game than league of legends from 2012-2013. It looks the same and goes by the same name. 2010-2013, the game's pacing was similar to that of RTS. Where as now, the pacing is more akin to fps games, fast paced, and putting instincts over tactics.

If you do or don't engage into a situation which is different from your prospective, people give you shit for no real reason. Yes, i went in on that, because clearly i was thinking i had more damage potential than you did with your 20/20 hindsight.

The combination of team play being more influential than solo play, the snowball nature of the early game, and the old style of solo carrying makes it pretty much impossible to play well, and make the "right" decision in every situation.

feeding them gold. Kills, due to how kill gold works, get less effective the more consecutive deaths a champion has.

There's a difference between feeding and intentionally feeding.

One is intentional, the other is usually not.

I usually don't call people a feeder until this person die in the same place again and again. EX: top lane die again and again. The reason is that you know you are not able to fight them, but you keep fighting them. That is feeding

If youre 20/15/5 with 25: 28 kills, you are a feeder.

That 0/10/6 hard engage nuke malphite who bought a ludens after getting starved out by a camped jungle? Hes not feeding because of how kill gold works. Hes worth 50 gold. Youre constantly worth 300. You dying feeds the enemy team gold, him dying doesnt.

It bugs me when, in the mid game, i constantly suicide engage because my team doesnt know how to engage properly and i end up with high deaths, no kills, and high assists and i get called a feeder by a 14/10/3 vayne who "has all the kills".

You're both feeding, but Vayne is getting more gold out of it. Neither situation is desirable unless you're Singed or Alistar (Because his ult covers most of the tankiness he needs from items) You would have to be PURE utility in every sense of the word for 0/10/6 to be worth it as you would spend so much time dead that you would miss plenty of cs, and the kills you don't have is gold you don't have.

Long story short, everyone should play safe if they're trading kills or just dying in general unless it gets you some major objective advantage. Everyone dying top lane when all the turrets are down provides only a lane to be freely pushed, and depending on where it all happened it may take to long to push that wave down for a chance at an actual major objective or objective pressure. Exceptions can be made for engage tanks that threw themselves into the fray and assisted in killing multiple enemies, but it shouldn't get to the point where people are engaging on a bad spot simply because they aren't worth anything, your time is valuable at all points of the game.

if you gets caught due to lack of map awareness and ignorance you are a feeder.

People need to change their attitude about things like this. Too many people are ready to call feeding, hate on people for bad plays, and call people noobs. I understand being irritated that your ranked game has a boosted player, but calling to report someone for being bad is absurd. If someone gave up 3 kills to the enemy kat, and you notice that they are still going full damage, ask them nicely to buy a little mr or stop pushing, don't call them a feeding scrub. If another player is doing badly and an enemy is snowballing, coordinate with your team to shut them down (and preferably in a way that gives your underperforming teammate an assist or kill). Don't say GG despite the fact that you are 5-1 and perfectly capable of fixing the situation.

I hate when I play split push champions and take 4-6 towers but get a KDA like 1/6/3 and get told im feeding. Like... I've taken 80% of the objectives that we've gotten while you're dicking around mid like it's an aram.

Lol, feeding is really subjective to me, because it really depend on the game. If you play as support, and you die 10 times, but if you can get your adc double kill every time you die, then it's worth it (20 kills for your adc). But if you can't bring your team any advantage then it's not worth dying, thus you are feeding. You have to justify your death, what were you trying to do? what did you die for? if you die to shut down a very feed riven, then thats worth because shut down can give your team a chance to fight again. If you die because you think you can kill that shaco but you really cant, then you are a stupid feeder. Do not die randomly, over and over again, play smart. I get it that sometimes you get a very bad game, but in early and mid games when you are not tilting hard, you should think rationally about every move you take. Why should you go there? why should you fight him? why did you use this skill or not use this skill? Make sure you die every time for some advantage that is worth more than your death. If you know that a teammate is caught out, do not save him unless you are thresh. That is a very good way to protect yourself. in the end, you want your kills be more or equal to your death, if you are playing any role other than support. if you play support you want you assist be more than your death. keep in mind support is the only role that you can theoretically feed and still win but every time you die you have to bring your team some advantage. one game i played leona, i found this great chance i went in and ult their entire team, they killed me but my team scored ace. Thats how you wanna die, die like a hero. Not like you running away hopelessly and get chased down by Hecarim.

There is a big difference between a feeder and an intentional feeder. It doesn't matter how hard you're trying to not die, if you have a large number of deaths for the amount time that has passed in the game (like 10 at 15 mins or something) then you're feeding.

All it means if someone calls you a feeder is that they are being rude and saying you're dying too much. It has nothing to do with inting. Just mute them and move on (and report them after if you want).

Man, I played the weirdest match about a week ago. I was Poppy into Kennen Thresh (yes, a duo top lane). I didn't get a single gank the whole game. I was zoned pretty hard, but did my best to farm under turret, and died all of... once.

My team then decided to flame me all game and called me a feeder.

Am I a feeder? I'm sorry. I just don't know how to be good at this game. :(
