I played Irelia occasionally, got an S the first time I played her, ok, she was broken at release.
Fast forward to now. I agree that Irelia's 5 stack nerf is wholly undeserved, and completely removes any chance of her succesfully 1v1ing without nearby enemy minions at low health. All this nerf encourages is a stronger level 1 cheese at 5 stacks, more inclination to waveclear rather than fight, and that's about it.
I understand her W's change, but I also don't understand the stack increase. If you're going to nerf Irelia make it a reasonable nerf, not this "Here's a champion that does well in pro scenes as a result of OUR mistakes, so we're going to change that by not addressing her core problems and instead nerfing some really weird mechanic that doesn't address why she's actually powerful."
They always do this shit and it makes me so angry. Sure you can nerf Lucian's manaflow band procs, OR, you could just nerf the damage on his Q a little.
