Low ELO ranked

I think that lower elo rank should be set up to reflect how you do as an individual rather than a a team since most low elo games play out one sided and with team mates feeding its almost impossible to rank up. Therefore, i think changes should be made to refelct on how you do individually. It makes sense that higher elo ranked games reflect wins and win percentage but in low elos where a bad teammate can really cost you big, I think it would help players to have their individual skill count towards ranking up rather than losing 18-20 lp for a game you had no business losing. Wins could grant less LP with more LP coming from how well you play and loses could grant lower LP decreases and scale based on how you do but also reward you if you do well in a lose. With that being said, any duo partners available to try to rank up? I'm b3 after my most recent lose thanks to a feeding team :D

yeah definitely i think the point im trying to make is that in low elos it should matter how the individual does rather than the way your team does. WIns should count more when you have a better grasp of the game rather than being hindered by your team mates in low elos. But yeah i see your point and i totally understand that no changes will probably be made along the lines of what im saying. Just getting an opinion out

I don't agree with your stance. It is a team game and the end goal is winning regardless of how well your scoreline looks. I will make plays to win more than safe plays that won't do anything for minutes sometimes, but then I would be punished by your system.

Ranked should be changed imo. And you shouldn't be punished for intentional trolls. But scorelines won't help. The problem is Riot ranked wants you to play 100s of games before you can climb up. And I think that is the frustrating thing that it doesn't come quickly. If there was a way to fix that without it being too easy fast, I would be more satisfied.

no yeah i think you're right. not being able to climb up fast and then have that progress hindered because of trolls,afks,etc is frustrating. I dont think my system is great or anything. It was just an idea but yeah i think ranked should be changed soon

I just don't like low elo ranked because what players know vs. don't know has a large variance. Like... at least when you get into like mid gold people have a general overall idea of how to play the game. Obviously they still have lots to work on but they have a nice understanding of the fundamentals. But I hate silver for this reason because what people know/verse don't know is widely different. So its hard to know what to expect going into each game. One game your team will ward and have some idea of what is going on around the map. The next you can literally ping and walk up to a teammate for a gank as a jungler and your teammate won't move. Or one game your mid laner will really focus down pushing mid and keeping mid up making sure to clear waves before roaming. The next your mid laner will roam all over the map letting enemy push to T2 and not bat an eye. Some people are mechanically really good just suck at the fundamentals. Others have good basic knowledge but are mechanically not very good. Some games people will just feed super hard out of no where like "have they even played before". I get its like this everywhere but I am like.... you get legit people who cant' even not feed vs. silver players, which lets face it... is pretty damn easy to do. And its like they have never played before. You get first time ranked players playing their first couple matches on your team or on enemy because starting mmr is like silver 3 or w/e. This happens every few games for me and its annoying as hell. Something you don't really need to worry about in mid gold + (although obviously boosted players in higher elos).

I just hate the lack of consistency. One game I will go in and it's competitive and I feel somewhat challenged (although generally not late game as its silver and most players don't know wtf to do after 20 mins). Then the next I swear I am playing a bronze game. I can honestly say there at least was some consistency when I got to gold 4 + last season or even just gold 5 with normal mmr. But anything lower than that I had no idea wtf anyone was going to do because ranks start meaning even less once you hit silver because it just turns even more a shit show clown fiesta.
