Join me in calculating the theoretical end of all ARAM/ARURF accounts [Patch 7.16]

Patch 7.16 > The Free to Play Champion rotation will always be 10% of the current champion roster. Today, that means 14 champions, up from the longstanding 10.

A recent surge in the number of dodges I encounter in a row made me think about this

~ = approximately

Before this patch I had a ~5% chance to get my absolute favorite champion in randoms Before this patch I had a ~15% chance to get any of my top 3 champs Before this patch I had a ~35% chance to get my absolute favorite role

After this patch I have a ~3% chance to get my absolute favorite champion in randoms After this patch I have a ~9% chance to get any of my top 3 champs After this patch I have a ~30% chance to get my absolute favorite role

Since Kalista was released they have made around 15 additional champs, the only champ out of that 15 I liked for my fav role was Xayah (1/15). Every ~10 champs they release they will increase the free rotation by 1 (currently rounds up to 14 out of 138 total). Currently there are only 6 other champs within my fav role that I can use to restore old %. However I simply hate to play some of them (ezreal), or find them far too powerful in aram, or too powerful in general. Draven Twitch Jhin

Therefore now, and in the future, It will be much less likely for anyone to get their favorite things. Which is okay I guess. Slightly less fun but ok. To compensate I can pick up all the busted champs in aram that I was intentionally avoiding, or even go on-hit bard! Xerath Ziggs Twitch Veigar Lux However eventually the % for these will drop as they continue to crank out champs I may not enjoy as much. Not saying they are "bad", just less enjoyable. So eventually, with inevitable champ releases, I will hit a point of the % giving me things I find "meh" or boring more often than not. There are quite a few champs I hate to play (Nasus/Zed/Riven/Yasuo/Yi/Lb/etc) and some actually put me to sleep (Sejuani/Garen/Janna/Soraka/Nunu). A support main, for example, may find their pickings of things similar to Rakan/Bard extremely slim and the % chance becoming like winning the lottery. I'm not sure what they could do, or even if they should do anything about the inevitable end of all ARAM/ARURF accounts. Limit free champs in randoms? Require you to own a certain amount? Set the rotation to a total 12 instead?

Ultimately meaning: People that mainly like ARAM/ARURF may find the game less fun and look for something else to play and waste money on.

"People that mainly like ARAM/ARURF may find the game less fun and look for something else to play and waste money on." To be honest I own every champion in the game and still feel that way after 6k+ ARAM wins. They just don't care about non Summoners Rift players. Every time I see sona in the loading screen I know its not going to be a fun experience. Hell even paying customers are at a disadvantage. I bought Elementalist lux but because I only play ARAM I rarely get to see her final form. To be fair though I stopped spending money on league(and playing SR) after the malzahar rework.

Meh.

Just make every champion available to everyone in both gamemodes and the problem is solved. ARAM/ARURF accounts exist no more.

Do not use personal champion pool for random champ. Instead have ARAM Rotation. Every week (or two if Riot is lazy), the potential champs you can roll in ARAM are changed, with a limit to the OP's and duds included in each rotation.

This helps ensure a fresher ARAM environment, and is highly tunable (30 each rotation? 40? half the roster?) Never have to deal with the enemy getting all OP champs, or your team getting stuck full of duds even after rerolls.

So basically u are against free rotation champions being in ARAM/ARURF?

No. What should happen is, all champions should be enabled in ARAM/ARURF.

I have no clue what the hell happened to ARAM, but it is NOT random. Six Leonas in a row? Bullshit. The most common champions I get anymore are Leona (owned and regret it), Gangplank (owned and regret it), Singed (free champion selection) and Annie (owned and regret it). In ten(10) games, I saw Leona and Gangplank seven(7) times, and that was for ME. I HAVE OTHER CHAMPIONS. I bought Xerath 3-4 months ago. Guess how many times that bastard has shown up on my screen since buying him. Zero. Not one god damned time in that span. Champions have to be weighted to get these champions time and time and time and time and time and time again. Then, when I do get a different champion, one that I care to play, some fucker dodges and I get a god damned Leona again. Something is seriously fucked up with "random" selection.

Why not just play the champions you are given. I love ARAM and do not get specific champions for ARAM. You know what is hurting my ARAM experience? ARAM accounts that both dodge and make it so the same overpowered champions are always played. It would be far more fun if I saw my team had a weaker comp, and I did not think the enemy would have a perfect comp.

I think the loss of ARAM accounts would increase the health of ARAM.

Again just play different champions, you know he option you did not give.

I thought the fun of ARAM is that you can experience random teamcomps with random champions, dodging so you can play the same champ every game seems to be against the point of ARAM.
