Crit Damage runes = no additional damage from passive. Crit Chance runes = additional damage from passive.

So I have 8% crit Chance runes and get 8% passive damage (above the 110 ofc). I buy Cloak and get 15% crit chance for a total of 23% passive damage. So far so good.

I complete Infinity Edge, which gives 20% crit chance plus 250% crit damage. I was expecting 20% from Inf Edge, plus 8% from Runes (since my Cloak was consumed making Inf Edge) for a total of 28%. I did not get 28%. I got 43% which is a strange number because Cloak = 15%, Runes = 8%, Inf Edge = 20% which all adds up to 43%, but cloak was consumed.

I can only guess that this is coincidence. that the +250% extra damage (not crit chance, DMG) was actually added in, but due to funky math, it came up to 15% extra passive damage, the same as a cloak of agility.

Anyone want to add something?

Crit damage runes DO work on ashe! her passive works like this: 110% (+ (critchance * (1 + critdamage))) if you build 100% crit chance with what would normally be 250% crit damage you would get 110% (+ (100 * (1 + (2.5 - 2)))) 110% (+ (100 * 1.5)) 110% (+ 150) 260% if you had 5% crit damage from runes on top of that 265%
