I personally think these important problems need to be hot fixed rather than balancing the crazy meta that or focusing on other very important problems.

Nami can buy boots but Cassiopeia can't!?!?

Memes aside Riot has commented on this 'issue' several times and gone with the 'gameplay overrules thematics' stance. Even though it doesn't make sense for a man who is constantly on fire to take damage from a fire spell from a thematic standpoint it would be a little awkward if he didn't for the sake of gameplay. Same concept for Lee Sin. Only felt the need to bring this up because you posted to 'gameplay' and not the memes board so i'm not 100% sure if you're joking or not.

Also Nami wears the boots as a hat. If you type hat into the shop it'll bring up boots. So I guess Nami gets a pass anyway.

There are tons of inconsistencies in League like:

Brand can take damage from Annie, another Annie, Ignite
Lee Sin players don't stare at a black screen
Lee Sin can be blinded by Teemo, Graves, Nocturne (Near-sighted but Lee Sin is still blind)
Nami can heal Brand
Brand can walk in the river
Anivia doesn't get tired of flying
Anivia can turn into an egg, technically turning back time to when she was a newly-hatched
Malphite can be turned into stone by Cassiopeia
There is a Void which is basically another dimension
Champions fight each other in teams of five for literally no reason because of Summoners
Every god damn champion in the freaking game exists and has some sort of supernatural ability.
