Why Rito won't disable Riven

  1. The CC dodge can be reproduced by most champions with a dash/blink. Ezreal can do it most easily (in my opinion)

  2. The bug is not gamebreaking. If this bug was something hugely abusable and as a result, Riven became ridiculously unfair to fight, Riven would be disabled, and I have proof of this.

To keep this short, back in June 2015, Riven had a bug where if she mashed her Q and AA while recalling, the recall would instantly teleport her to base. Riot saw this, and she was disabled. She did get re-enabled before the bug was fixed though because it was a problem with Riot's systems and they disabled Ranked instead. There's a whole story about it on Nexus, it's called Total Recall, or: That Time We Disabled Ranked

I don't know why Riot doesn't say anything about this, but its most likely again something with their systems, and there probably wouldn't be any way to change this without re-coding her spells, and then even if they did that, the rest of the cast that can replicate this would need to be fixed too

Tl;dr: Riven herself is not bugged, dashing/cc is. Riven is not being given special treatment.

PS: I read your mind while you read this, it says you've never seen a Riven in your games do this enough to actually affect you :^)

PSS: Post other champions that can do this that you know of

Current list: Every champ with a dash hah suckers :^) Edit 1: Just to clear this up, 1. Riven can only do this on her E either immediately before or after pressing her Q. 2. This is only applied to knockups and knockbacks. There is no record (from what I've seen) of her dodging hard CC with this. The exception here is the stun on Nautilus's Dredge Line, but this may be because the stun wouldve worn off already at the end of the dash. 3. This needs to be sweetspotted at the beginning of the dash, my assumption on RIven is the first .1 second when the dash starts up, meaning this bug isn't easy to replicate in a real game as Literally everyone talking about it is making it to be. Ezreal's sweetspot is the beginning of the blink animation till he actually warps, which is longer and easier to replicate. It functions the same way from what I've seen.

Edit 2: Adrian Riven, the guy who discovered this bug found out this applies to everyone with a dash

I didn't see any other champ do the same thing but NEGATE the CC :/

I also didn't see any video's of other champs replicating it perfectly, so sadly you need a more solid argument.

I mean, Riven still has bugs that would get any other champion immediately disabled and then hotfixed (Zed is a recent example), but Riot calls it a "feature" because she makes a lot of money off of little kids who think she's cool.

And uh, minus Ez, you're still going to be slammed into a wall when Poppy Es you, no matter what dash you're using. That doesn't apply to Riven though.

Hey, explain to me then why they didn't disable Riven when they changed the way aa cancelling work to improve last hitting experience and end up allowing her to do intant no animation triple Q-aas?

The problem with Riven (and quite a few other champs) is that they are impossible to win against if you are playing certain champs.

I'm ok with there being SOFT counters in the game that give you an advantage for counterpicking. However, when you get counterpicked to the point where you have basically no chance against a champ, even if you are the more skilled player, that's a problem.
