So iam currently Gold 2 with 100 LP (gold 1 promo) a friend of mine told me that if i win this promotion i skip gold 1 and go straight to platinum 5. It also says on the page op.gg that i will move up 2 divisions and that my mmr is plat5 almost plat 4. Is it possible to jump like that? A plat 2 player told me it was possible, is it true?
DarkRitual1 votesIt is possible, just not something that happens often. If someone frequently dodges champ select to fail promos, they can still increase their MMR and jump divisions. There's not really a reason to do that intentionally, but it would work, in theory.

Xrusa1 votesOn sites like op.gg, it isn't 100% accurate. Also, if I remember correctly, you cannot skip directly into a new tier without playing the best-of-5 promo series in division 1 of the previous tier. You can skip divisions otherwise, from 5->3 or 4->2 or 3->1

KVbqbFsC8e1 votesNot likely. You'd need your MMR to be significantly higher to skip a division. A difference of only 2 divisions worth of MMR isn't likely to have you skip anything.
