Gold players have same skill as bronze/silver

recently been getting gold players from last season in my ranked games. All of them play like bronze players, no skill. My adc gold 5 from last season, says can only play win and struggles vs leona, goes 3/10. Gold players play a lot more and are pretty bad at the game, before had a gold 5 top from last season who takes heal and ignite as trynda in top lane. The one trick went 0/5. I dont understand, and i was support in the first game which i couldn't do much. Not blaming others but ffs how did they reach gold when their skill is bronze level

Flex que was a thing, but ya I feel gold players overall just have a greater overall concept of the game and mechanics where as bronze and silvers just lack in a few of the grander things.

I've play against plats though and felt the same way.

In general as a whole higher elo players have just played more/care more about the game. The top level is the talent. Silver players play a tiny bit worse than diamond 5 players. Its not that they have better knowledge or mechanics because hardly any na players have either. Its literally just more hours and familiarity. Alot of the times those players play a few champs only as well.

dont compare silver to diamond. not even diamond 5. a diamond 5 players who is litterally trash compared to the actual good diamond 1+ players can easily 1v3 a bunch of silvers depending on the champ he plays might even 1v5 them. the only comparison you can make to league players is this.

-Bronze-Gold TRASH with a few hidden gems who have potential. -PLat-Diamond 4 also trash but they are TOXIC aswell. -Diamond 3-1 they have potential thye need to improve mistakes/mentality ( i'm in this one aswell i'm terrible at teamworking and toxic asfuck) -Master 0 lp - challenger 700 lp LCS material -Challenger 700+ get a fucking life.

Its a bell curve for NA. NA might not be as good as Korea, but there is a stark difference between your run of the mill player who deserves B5 to S5 to G5.

Some of the basic fundamentals of League are

CSing ability Champion Mechanics/Micro Map Awareness/Warding Decision Making Game Knowledge Understanding of the game/Marco. Luck

Personally from my game experience in the four years I've played. Low Bronze have none of these things, they at best are average at one. High bronze are generally average at 2-3 of these things. Low Silver are usually either above average at 2 of these things with average in the rest. High Silver are usually above average at all of these things or good at 3 of em with average-above average in the rest. After this in even games I believe Luck is somewhat a factor for the average players where as the people who deserve to climb are good at them all. Most low golds are basically the same as high silvers with luck on their side. Higher golds are good at them all were as Plats are great at some, good at the others. low Diamond are great at them all and excellent at a few and higher then that is just going pastthe level of excellent.

I'm not good, by any means, I tell this to every Brz or Silver person my friends invite me to play with, I just excel more then your average Silver player at a few of these things. I think my overall champion mechanics are on the silver side but my Game Knowledge, Macro, Map Awareness/Warding, and Csing are pretty good to make up for it. My long time League friends are all Plats/Diamonds now and I play with them in norms all the time, Lansing vs Plats doesn't scare me anymore cause I can hold my own or at the very least still be serviceable with my team. Not saying I'm good or Plats are, Plats are indeed better. I still shit my self vs Diamonds though, although I do surprise myself from time to time in those match ups.

The second paragraph is jibberish :P.

the only way I can explain it right now is that its like watching a bunch of ants try to work and build a nest and as the ranks go up very slowly the ants can work faster and not struggle as much. But the ants dont actually start to know what they are doing till they are master tier ants.

I mean that's a fair example. But it doesn't change that Golds are better then Bronzes in most cases lol.

If that makes you feel better, ok. But then you should have no problems reaching gold yourself, right?

I don't know about you, but I can single handedly win a Leona matchup for my ADC. As support I just pick something that won't let her get close to him. She might hit her E but she won't be able to close the gap.

Normally your rank should show your skill. However this is currently impossible due to matchmaking. There is a feeder / leaver in 80% of the games, and they heavily influence the outcome of a game (much more than boost from a good player). If you are lucky it is in the enemy team. If not it is in your team. In the end your rank depends on your luck.

We're not all bad, lol. You just have to carry those laners, everyone has bad games sometimes. I carried a team that was 1/6 (jungler) 1/4 (mid) 1/8 (bot) and 0/7 (support) at the 10 minute mark. Its actually the one where I went 21/6/20 if you want to review it. You just have to be patient and carry. Thats the only way youre getting out.
