Is League "fun?"

For the record, I'm not trying to attack Riot Games and demonize this game - I'm simply providing my opinion and although many of you may argue with me, I am stating what I currently think of League. (keep in mind I am prioritizing ranked, as I typically only use normals to try free-champions)

Recently, I was hanging out with my friend, when our discussion turned to video games. Of course, when he asked me, "What kind of games do you play?" I responded with "League," of course. Then, he asked, "Is it fun?" and that is a question I avoided, with neither a yes or no response.

Although I know this change of behavior might be because League is getting old for me, as most, if not all games, do, it may be much more than that. The idea of League is to get together in a 5v5, but these days it's hard to get one, as trollers and afkers can make it a 4v5, 3v5, even 2v5. While I do appreciate the /remake ability that Riot put into the game, it doesn't seem like enough. There is a time limit to /remake, and if one of your teammates has to go in the middle of the game, you're stuck in a nigh-impossible 4v5, and you will lose LP that took a previous 40 minutes to get. Worse: the troll. All League of Legends players have gone through the experience of a someone feeding, a crazy anti-meta build like AP Zed (its fine in normals but when it's ranked, well...), or pretending to be new at the game. It gets you excessively angry, and you can't even leave the game because you will get a ban. And guess what? You still lose LP for someone trolling! Even if you report them, that doesn't mean you will get your LP back. This is obviously unfair and frustrating, and I believe this has deterred me from the game the most.

Going back to that question: Is League fun? I should have replied, yes, it is fun until you reach level 30, as the human brain was built to learn and adapt, which is what League tests in those early levels. However, when you're grinding for ranked, there will always be that one guy who decides to make mid open.

The only thing that would make me happy was if there was a League champion dedicated in memory of Harambe.
