Why is carrying a thing?

Why do I have to go in games hoping to carry better then the enemy team? Why aren't players rewarded individually somehow? It's really a crappy feeling having to do everything you can to carry a game and the reason your team is still in game, but only to lose a 30-40 minute game because people don't learn. Some games everyone is doing OKAY, but a single player feeds so bad and screws the game over for everyone. Why does everyone have to suffer with him?

If it is going to be a 5v5 then it has to be a 5v5 not 1v9,2v8,3v7, and ect.

Because this isn't Heroes of The Storm.

Not a good answer

Whether its a good answer or not, it's correct. League allows players to thrive with or without the assistance of their teammates at lower tiers. At higher elos teamfights and more cooperative team comps do better. But since items and scaling exist snowballing/carrying will always be a thing.

I thought it was the best answer myself.

Actually, Players won't thrive at lower tiers with or without. You either cooperate and win, or don't and flop. The OP meant carrying shouldnt be "pick up the slack because a 0/20 feeder in on your team" At least thats what i take of it, and he wouldnt be wrong. MMR is garbage and pretty much league even admitted it

Well you can't carry bad teamates because they're uncarriable. They at least have to be semi capable of handling themselves

playing well is carrying

you don't have to get all the kills and gold

you'll win a lot of games just by playing intelligently

Because TahmKench would be pretty useless without his ult.

I hate that they have officially made, top lane solo, jungle solo, mid lane solo and bot lane Adc/support. Team game? you play alone 50% of the time. What would happen if a team decided not to follow and do duo mid, duo top and solo bot? and no jungle. why is this now the linear standard?

your mentality is already wrong. most high elo players got there by playing safe, rather than trying be aggressive. as soon as the enemy makes a mistake, you punish them.
