Ranked MMR and LP

Hi, i am a gold trash player that has been playing since s4, and throughout all of these seasons i noticed one thing that hasn't changed. The series you need to beat for ranking up into the next division, however i don't believe i have seen anyone post a solution. So I would like to put up a suggestion. (Now please take this with a grain of salt, i am fully aware that these are 2 VERY different games) I think the ranked system should be more similar to Rainbow 6 Siege. the ranked system is quite similar, however instead of something like LP its closer to what your total MMR is. An example being copper is 0-1699 bronze is 1700-2099, both have checkpoints like bronze 2 or 1, but once you get enough points, you rank up, no series just another rank but it drops just as easy. I just wanted to throw this out there as a suggestion, does anyone else have any other ideas, or why this kind of system is better or worse?
