The problems with Ahri and suggestion for her new W

Ahri is one of the champions, who will receive compensations for the upcoming removal of DFG, but she should receive changes without being related to it anyway. It is a really good opportunity to talk about, what she needs. She never benefited from DFG fully because the active of it doesn't effect true damage, neither magic pen. does that, but I guess it was pretty powerful on her.

Her Q and E basic abilities deal good amount of damage together, but they cost a lot of mana and have moderate cooldowns. For the mana part, I would like to ask for 5 mana cost reduction on them, across all ranks. It feels like they have the right cooldowns, but she feels useless without her abilities, making her lose most of the extended trades, what AD assassins are lot more superior at, but she should have the play style, that she needs to continue trading and create medium distances for better aiming, to come out on top of these champions. Long story, short: she loses, because leveling her W first, is not viable. Getting higher amount of CDR is not an option for her, because she can't have that low amount of mana costs to make it worth, so I rather ask for an ability, which fills her needs better, have lower mana cost and cooldown across all ranks, deals good amount of damage, but have limited usage. I'm thinking about her, as a kite and close ranged mage, without it being applied well right now. It should not must be denied, that I would like that her play style would get closer to what Karma, Talon and Jayce have. It would fit her.

What I suggest as her new W: Ahri spins her orb around herself in 360 degree and in the selected (or just fixed) radius (400 to minimum), dealing xy damage to all enemies hit. Basically, a Viktor E, cantered around herself and ends in the starting point, but implemented with her orb, of course. This could be an other fast and accurate damage dealing spell for her, exactly what she needs. This could also be a good place, to put a conditional speed boost on.

I never thought about Fox-fire, as a good addition of damage in the early game, rather as just a small mana sink, because the delay and the targeting of it, what we don't have good control of. It shoots homing bolts, what her ultimate already does lot better. It can give an easy kill, when the stasis of an enemy's Zhonya's end, but really, it is not something what we need and want to sacrifice a whole spell for. It is good for applying spell effects, it can deal good damage, but overall, it is garbage. This is the best I can ask for, as improvements on her kit. Please, Riot Games, put this onto the priority list for low scope changes.

My suggestion is to increase Ahri's disable. If the Remove the Damage Amp on her Charm, they should increase the charm Duration. This would Probably give her the more Magey Kit that Riot was Looking for. I mean, what Kind of Mage does not have at least one good form of Crowd control?
