Is talon not a good champ anymore?

Talon is my main champ and ive played 60% of all my games with him and i took a break from league for a bout a year and just came back a month ago. i was sad to see his silence was gone for a 1 second slow... but i feel like hes now useless if he doesnt get fed, and thats kind of hard because of so many champs can counter him mid. Hes so weak until lvl 6 because its his only escape and hes so squishy, and its really hard to farm against these mobile poke champs (zed, leblanc, yasuo, ahri) thats its kinda hard to get a kill if the other person knows what their doing. I barely ever see a squishy mid champ like veigar or something anymore where i clearly have the advantage.I just feel like taking the silence away really made him a weak champ bc thats what really made talon good. Ive started to try and talon jungle now to prevent getting countered in the lane but the jungle clear is horrible early and sometimes the enemy jg just coomes and kills me or makes me back bc of my weak early gamea
