Yuumi nerf isn't enough imo

Cat Mìlk··10 votes·7,575 views

Mostly a yuumi main here, but I don't think this nerf to q will do much at all. The decrease on the slow is good though.

Always thought yuumi's r needed a bit of an increase towards cooldown.

Not sure but, worried the nerfs will just keep coming until it's another galio.

Just want to be able to play my main in ranked or draft in the near future without her being banned 87% of the time! Also don't want her to be nerfed until useless though. While I think the slow reduction to q is a good start, it's not good enough still. Her late game will still be very good.

She's totally going to get Galio'd. Her kit just isn't healthy. Low winrate, but high banrate. She's like Darius, she's balanced, but just a miserable experience to play against, and unlike Yasuo or Riven takes next to no skill to play. And unlike Darius she scales hard, and doesn't rely on doing well early...

Her best chance is some kind of W overhaul, probably making the CD start upon exiting the champion, but decreasing it to like 5/2/0. Maybe nerfing her heal early so she struggles more in lane phase.

Yuumi is a perfectly balanced champ, because it can be countered. Just git gud, and stop crying.

Yuumi has a 42.2% ban rate in Platinum+. Almost nobody likes playing against her.

The issue with Yuumi is not just how safe she is during the laning phase while allowing for oppressive poke. It's actually that beating her in laning phase doesn't mean she's out for the count or needs to regain a foothold in the match like other supports and ADCs.

What she does is springs on another carry that is doing well and the game can quickly spiral out of control. She trades nothing for being able to trade carries so easily.

What she needs is a mechanic similar to Kalista's Black Spear so she cannot so easily bounce from carry to carry. She shouldn't be able to hop on just anyone anytime she pleases. She needs more risk for the reward she gets in that respect.

42,2% means, that over half players don't mind playing against, or with her. Your argument is invalid, because early all-in counters her. Beside just beat the entire team, and make sure, that nobody is that strong, or just buy heal reduc, and learn to focus in teamfight.

42% when there are only 10 bans available means she is unbelievably hated.

According to Champion.gg her pickrate is 9,27%, and banrate is 5,33% on platinum+. You are spreading false information.

League of Graphs says otherwise. Champion.gg has been an iffy spot to look at stats for ages now, it updates its stats from the Riot API really janky.

Durzaka4 votes

champion.gg info is garbage and cant be relied on.

Riot has said that U.gg is the closest to their in house data, and that also puts her at 42% ban rate and 12% pick rate. Which is very high.

The Kombinator1 votes

The banrate yes. Pickrate no. Also low winrate.

Durzaka2 votes

Im not even sure what you are addressing.

Champion.gg's info is off compared to every other sites, which puts both her pick and ban rate MUCH higher.

Her win rate is definitely not good. No arguments here.

I don't think she is overpowered. But she is an incredibly infuriating champion to play against.

The Kombinator1 votes

Checked on your. "u.gg" though i could not find this one on google, but unlike you i am willing to check new information, and possibilities. His pickrate is not on top. And her winrate is very far from top.

So balanced that she has 93 - 99% presence in every single major pro play league.

Presence means pick and ban rates combined.

The Kombinator1 votes

Below 100% winrate so somehow people manage to counter her, and that means it's perfectly balanced, and nothing needs to be done. Riot does everything in perfect balance as it should be.

So you found one page from the 3 where the statistics is like you want it. Right now 42,2% banrate, and 12,6% pickrate. No matter how i try to summarise these it's just 54,8% "presence". At least check your own data before posting false information.

Not to mention, that the winrate is 46,96% which is also not exceptional.

At least on platinum+

Even on Master+ which could be considered proplay. It's just 17% pick, and 53,4% ban, and 47,58% winrate. So presence is still just 70,4% instead of the 90+, and still not exceptional winrate.

  1. I wasn't the person who said that.

  2. The person who did say that specifically cited professional games when they mentioned presence.

Try again.

No but the answer meant to him as well.

Also nobody specified what is considered "pro play". Is it Master+? Or Grandmaster only? Or LCS only? Also your page is an excellent proof, that you, and op are both wrong. It shows, that Yuumi is nowhere near the top. It is considered D tier.

Póppy Chulo3 votes

"Pro play" are the professional teams that play in the lcs and other matches. Challengers are just high elo no pros in the definition literally everybody uses for pro in league.

The Kombinator1 votes

So the 0,00000001% of the playerbase. I think those guys shouldn't be ones the game balances around, and balancing around them will not help the very great majority of the players much.

mark60282 votes

But she literally has no counterplay. That's her problem.

The only counterplay to enchanters in general is oneshotting them.

Can't do that with yuumi immediately hopping to the next target

The Kombinator1 votes

On lane you counterplay her with oneshooters. You always should target the ADC if possible anyway unless Soraka support so no difference there.

In teamfight you counter her with focus, and heal reduc. By mid, and lategame her poke is a joke, and her heal is also a joke, if halved. What remains? An ult heavily dependent on teammate's position with low damage on it's own, and a super risky shield.

I know, that going offmeta is heresy, and it is literary impossible with any champ. But sometimes it's better to "sacrifice" that one item slot for a heal reduc.

season10balanced2 votes

I feel Yuumi walks a thin line between being super cancerous to play against and being useless if she was nerfed too much, so they probably won't nerf her any more than whats on pbe right now.

FakeGravity2 votes

yummi gonna be like old soraka, it doesnt really matter what you do since she can just heal her adc, a passive playing adc wont in danger any poke gets negated by yummi, if they nerf her healing and focus on her poke the fact that she offers poor counterplay due her W still leave issues, she is like sona except that if you catch sona she explode into pieces with her poor defense. yummi might never be balance in pro play and will be one of those champions that are too strong for pro play but to terrible in solo queue riot will rather make ppl forget about them like kalista and azir

offered solutions:

make her W have a real colddown early on. leave her heals strong but make it so she can only gain more than one charge while not attach. this means she wont be attach at all times early on now to fix her late game we need more reasons for yummi to not be attach, her passive is a great idea, the mana recover was only relevant early honestly, we need something yummi cant afford not to do late game to force her out of the attachment kinda how soraka needs to land her Q to recover her own HP oppose to old soraka that would just spam W as needed, her ult is not bad at all but the fact you cant stop her and she isnt vulnerable while using it is a bit too much

Dynikus1 votes

I already permaban yuumi, and fully agree that the nerfs won't be enough. They're more love taps than anything, and I'm sure riot knows that.

DOUBLE TAPPED E1 votes

Honestly I think a good way to tune her down a bit would be to slightly reduce the speed she moves when jumping between allies, to allow more time to interrupt it with cc. This let's her keep her power level while attached, while giving the enemy team a bit more counter play during skirmishes.

koshkyra1 votes

Her problem is and always has been her poke, she is lterally fucking building ludens and comet as a champion that is supposed to be an enchanter.
